I have sky in but have no phone line so cant get multi room. Really want to be able to have disney channel and music channels upstairs for the kids.

i was thinking of setting up a second sky account and just having the basic entertainment pack with the kids and music it would cost €26 a month but better than having to get a phone line in for multi-room.

My question is will sky allow this 2 accounts in the one address???

    Thanks guys

Are you sure you still need a phone line? I never had my Sky boxes connected to the landlines (after installation).

Have you got broadband? You could get a VOIP phone with fixed number. This would work out a lot cheaper then paying Sky an extra €130 per year?

Also, €26 per month = €312 per year. Can you not just buy them some DVDs? It's not like the Disney channel don't keep repeating everything!!

lol barack believe me id pay 10 times that for a bit of peace lol well if i had it.

I am making it part of their xmas present so since its 3 of them its not too much really.

might make myself sound really stupid here but what is a voip phone and how would i get one? thanks

Providing them with access to CBBC/CBeebies (both free!) and a load of Disney DVDs would be much more economical...

Many of the music channels are also free (not MTV).

The official line from Sky is that the subsidized box offer is one per household, so if you want to get a second account in your house you might have to pay full price for equipment and installation. Having said that, Sky don't always adhere to their own and you will probably get the equipment for free. Your best bet would be to talk to someone in a retail outlet rather than ring the 0181 number.

Your other option if you just want channels to keep the kids entertained might be the Free to Air option. This would include CBBC, Cbeebies, Citv, Pop, Tiny pop and Popgirl. For a once off payment, no subscription and can be connected to your existing sky dish. It depends on the ages of your kids as to this being an option though.

then ur better off getting a second account for them mate...if only for peace sakes.... a 2 mix, kids and music will cost you €25 a month....might be worth adding variey mix as well so u get the rtes in case they swap rooms lol...so that would be a 3mix at €27 per month...

You don't need Variety mix to get the Irish 4 channels. They are available regardless of which package you select.
