Well we were out again for a couple of hours and saw plenty of foxes, bout 9-10 but only had a shot on these two.
First was a cub that was at the side of a field and ran off but a call on the wam caller had this vixen cub come running in to about 40y. Had to stop her before she passed us out and she sat long enough for a VMax 55gr.

This next vixen was out @80y and starting to move away before the wam caller got her interested and she sat looking at us @115y. The shot was took aimed between the eyes and as can be seen she got a hair cut between the ears.

But there's always other ways to spend a Sunday night other than out hunting foxes. Her indoors and I went to the Barn Dance held near Kilmore in Wexford and here's just a peek at what was on for the BBQ.
Roast Hog at it's best amongst other fine fair. A good time, great dancing and a late night home.

Thats a nice pig on the spit, I would like to see an original Turnspit dog operating that spit if they weren't extinct.

John it has to be done or else Her Indoors starts to get ratty, hard to please 'em all.
Good night out with plenty of the grub stakes with booze - 8 till late and all for €20, the sore head in the morning come free. :D

I don't know how she puts up with me - she's an anti in the making. She would ban horse racing if she could, cruelty to animals 'n all that crack. Those innocent horses getting the arse wipped off them. :o

They used an antique desiel engine chunking away to turn the roast.
They had a good set up with the spit. Fire was at the side no dripping fat on the fire and the spit could be moved in or out as required for more or less heat on the roast

Try holding onto the pint of beer after scoffing down a trotter. :D

Plenty of meat on that hog along with steaks, burgers, scolop and cod kebabs, chicken cooked every which way, home made fish cakes, salad stuff, etc, enough to feed the 600-800 country folk hoo-ha's that were there :D

Make a note for next year.

I'm still not sure how hard I should blow into it. Son says I'm not blowing hard enough so I blow until no sound come's out but maybe the foxes can still hear it. Ultra sonic - but then I'm deaf , wot you say again. speak up.
