The pump on my central heating system seems to be knackered, so I intend to replace it. There are valves on either side of it, so I'm assuming that means I wont have to drain the whole system. If draining is required I'll just get someone in, couldn't be bothered with all that!

I've searched for the current make of pump online and cant find any details on it, so I dont think I'll get an exact replacement anywhere.
My question though is whether I can just buy any replacement pump and assume that the fittings will be the same size?

The threaded ports are approx 40mm wide, and the whole unit is about 130mm port to port.

EDIT: Sorry, just noticed there is a 'Heating & plumbing' section - mods please feel free to move this thread there if you want
