Wii 4.2 Softmod query re: IOS Patching

Hey,
Following the CompleteSoftmodGuide, and have so far done the following on 4.2E:
BannerBomb
Bootmii as IOS
HBC

Next step is Trucha Bug & Stub IOSs
Then I think its cIOS38rev17 Installer
Then priiloader
Should then be set, right?

But other guides talk about patching extra IOS, like 53,55 and 60.
Do I need to do this?

Am I missing anything else?

I like the simplistic mod on GBAtemp (i'm not going to link to it in case i have to ban myself :P)

I've used a good few times and I cant imagine it could be made much easier than that guide.

Yep that's one I've been looking at. No mention of patching ios 53 55 and 60 though.
This is where I'm gettin confus'd.
Do I need to do these xtra steps that aren't in the simplistic guide?

I've followed nothing but the guide several times and I have no complaints
