I have C,D,EC,ED (Truck, bus, Artic) licenses. I have them for a few years. I have none of these CPC courses done. I am not driving in my current job.
Can I do the first one before September and the second course in October?
What will happen if I dont do them? will I loose my license?
    Thanks.

You are already late by a year.
You were supposed to do your annual CPC training before 10th September 2009. Because you didn't do it, you can't work as a bus driver any more.
For trucks it's a year later, so you still can do it before 10th September 2010 and keep your CPC for trucks.
It's not exactly clear what you have to do i you want to work as a bus driver - most likely you'll have to do exams (theory and practical) from BUS CPC.

PS - CPC has nothing to do with licence. You won't loose your C,D,EC,ED licence.
Only thing, that licence allows you to drive that kind of vehicles.
CPC allows you to work as a driver of that kind of vehicles

So if I want to drive a bus professionally next week? What do I do?

    I don't think it's possible.
You should have thought about it before - exactly - last year.

If you want to drive a truck thought, just do the one day CPC training before 10th September, and you'll be grand. Only if you don't do it before then, you won't be able to drive trucks professionally. At the moment you can.

So I rang a guy that gives CPC courses. I have to do one for my Truck before September. I can also do a catch up course for the Bus so I should be ok.

Why did the Driving license office not send a letter to all the drivers that hold Truck and Bus licenses to inform them?

I have also found out that if you don't do them you have to do some theory test and a practical.

the way it is now, say ya wanted to get a C licence now, first ya would need to do the theory test then get a learner permit, before ya can even book the driving test ya have to sit and pass a module in the cpc, there's six altogether, 1 is solely for trucks, 1 is solely for buses and 3 are shared

its all a joke though, i did my first one in may or june and ya man told us all the answers, i dunno if it made a difference that the company put a good few of us through or not but it was a boring long saturday

the cpc thing appears to be a bit of a disaster, there is a good bit of info about it here

its the biggest waste of time and money. sitting down for 8 hours listening to useless info, plus you have to do this once a year for the rest of your driving carear:mad:

Thats correct. You will if you want to drive a coach. You have until the tenth of september for the trucks.
