I was on an Irish course in Comeen (west of Ballybofey) a couple of years back and we were taken to a 'bottle bar' somewhere beyond Glenn finn (Straboy??). I can't for the life of me remember it's name. Has anyone else come across it. It was famous for sessions and singing, very old school, didn't even have ice for your drink!!

A real gem. I wanted to recommend it to some friends travelling up to Donegal. Just putting it out there

Could it be fintown, was there a nice lake and all on the way into in from glenfinn side.

I think it was after Finntown. I've just googled the Glen tavern and the session sounds right. There were song books left about for folk to sing and all. The other feature that stood out for me was it was a bottle bar. No taps, nothing on draught.

Looked like it hadn't seen a refurb since about 1932!!
