backpack and cabin luggage

    hi can a 45l backpack go on as hand luggage if its under the weight ?

    Anyone have any problems bringing a 45l on a flight?

    It's all about the dimensions of the backpack. How strictly the hand luggage rules are applied depends on the airline.

    Check your carrier's website for details on the size allowed.

    Hey, I recently carried a 45L as hand luggage on numerous flights with different airlines and had no problems at all!
    The airlines included Aer Lingus, BMI, Qantas, Air Asia and Bangkok Airways... not sure if that's any use to you but it's just an example that they were all fine with it!

    I've had similar experiences, seen bigger ones allowed on Aer lingus too, however they've clamped down so there is a chance the OP wouldn't be allowed on with his bag, and Ryanair are getting ruthless as well... Observe any of their flights departing DUB and they make anyone whose bag looks in any way over the size limit put it in their sizing frame.
