Have to say I have nothing against micheal cole but for me it's discracefull how they haven't brought jr back to raw after his recovering from his recent illness for me jr is the voice of American wrestling and raw. Him and the king are brillant together please wwe bring him back so I can hear OH MY GOD KING one more time

I miss the JR that used to call matches instead of spouting Garbage.John Cena,
never gives up,never backs down from a Fight(when I hear that I just cringe with Embarrasment).Wwe in the last few years had him spouting his catchphrases like Slobberknocker,Bar Room Brawl,Bowling Shoe ugly & other yee haw catchphrases that I could of done without hearing every 6.2 seconds.

I never liked him as much as everybody else did. His accent was terrible and always irked me. Plus the King Lawler goofy combination didn't help matters.

Will ultimately probably go down as the best commentator in WWE history, but I really don't think he needs to be seated behind that commentary desk again.

The last few years he has been so, so poor. As has King. Listening to JR and King most recently, is like listening to someone doing a parody of them. Awful stuff altogether.

Hopefully JR will stay in the wrestling business in some aspect, as I believe he has a good head for the business, but I don't think he needs to be commentating again. He was great and has an amazing history with the company as being a terrific announcer, he doesn't need to Hogan it and keep coming back long after his time is up.

Coach and Al Snow really should've taken over in 2004(?) when they beat Lawler and King in that match.

I miss JR also, he's got the WWE in his blood.

Hope to see him make a return, luv his theme music.

Bit off topic but does anyone remember Coach having Really good theme Music & on his Titantron it said "The Playas Club featuring The Coach" man that was just Legendary,he should get in the WWE Hall of Fame for that alone,
hey Koko B.Ware is in it & other dubious Celebrities are already in there.Still can't believe Vince wanted Austin to job to Coach.

I watched Undertaker/Michaels from Wrestlemania 25 last week. Jim Ross was phenomenal calling it and for me that's why I didn't quite enjoy 'Taker/Michaels this year as much.

He's the best announcer in wrestling ever.

The Taker vs Hbk match at last years mania is like Metallica's Black Album they're never going to have a better one but that doesn't mean you don't want another one
.The match this year had many similar spots(I know this cause I rewatched the one from last year before this years Mania) & they were both a year older & at they're age they weren't able to improve it because of injuries.

    Do what now?

    When was this...

I was very dissapointed that jr didn't call the main event at wrestlemania this year it would of been a truly great way to bow out as a wwe commentator I also heard vince was pissed because jr was interviewed at the recent ufc match Brock vs carwin

JR is nowhere as good as he was in the Attitude Era, and he gets names etc wrong but he's still head and shoulders above everyone else in WWE. I put up with today's commentary, i don't enjoy it.

    I really miss JR.

It was a few years ago at a Cyber Sunday event I believe,he asked Austin to lose & Austin refused to job to him & backed out of the Already advertised match. Austin was replaced by Batista who of course beat Coach. Coach had past it Midcarder Goldust & a Massively out of Shape Vader as Backup.Surely you remember Vader falling off the Apron it was Hilarious.

I think, from a change over standpoint, the illness was a blessing in disguise.
Wwe obviously wanted to put cole in his position for ages and then finally got their wish when jr became ill.

I think I rathered that then jr getting a 'firing' from vince that he was in no way aware of.
And they've done it before so there's no reason why they wouldn't have done it again to get him replaced.

What I can't understand is why or how they haven't found a decent replacement for him.

Cole has been commentating for the past 14 years & I cant ever remember anybody having a good word to say about him as a commentator.

Dose anybody at WWE headquarters not notice how bad he sucks?

    1) Vince is on a youth-kick (although how 41-year-old Cole is a youth, despite ~14 years working for WWE is beyond me)

    2) He hates JR and his 'rasslin' background

    3) Vince doesn't want to hire ex-wrestlers who have a brain in their heads (i.e. can't be easily moulded to say "whadda manouvre")

    4) Vince hates anyone who's not a wrestler (so stop naming the referees, having managers, or having good commentators) so all the focus is on the main roster.

    5) Vince is retarded and doesn't actually care for the quality of his product.

Surely no.5 shouldve been number one?! :p

Cole is 41, but sometimes he does look like a 14 year old.

A Michael Cole -Josh Matthews pairing on RAW would be the best in the short term. They are doing a good job on NXT together right now.

Honestly, Lawler just lost the passion or spark he once had around the time Coachman joined the commentary booth on RAW. I think he should wind up his career by going back to Smackdown.

Lawler was never quite in Heenan or Ventura's league for me, but he was still very good - especially from 97-01!

Saved the best for last! gotta leave on a high note lol

Sure, Matt Striker was fantastic on ECW because vince wasn't in his ear - i doubt he even watched the show. Anyone that moves onto RAW automatically gets an earful and their work suffers immensely as a result.

That said, seeing how bad the commentary is on iMPACT (without screaming in your ear) it might not be that simple......!

I loved JBL on commentary he`d come out with unintentionaly gas one liners like all the technical wrestling & high flying in the wold can`t help you when you get a "Punch in the Face" if ever a quote described the man thats it.Used to love when he`d shout BALLGAME whenever a finishing move was hit or a match was about to end.

Don`t hate on Vince as a announcer "What a Manouver" & "Who Ha Forgetabout it" are hilarious Quotes to look back at and Laugh at, that & the greatest song EVER Stand Back.
