I,m looking to buy a laptop ,that will run sims3 .SO it must have at least 150meg vram video ram, I can afford 550euro.Has anyone any advice regarding suitable laptops.I,D prefer to buy off a bricks and mortar store.I presume laptops with intel gma graphics would be too slow.

I wouldn't even trust sims with intel gma

    (genetically modified architecture...:p)

any ati graphics would do, and should be got with your budget also.

I have ATI graphics and can't play the sims 3

well then that rules out intels gma muck for sure.

I don't have any idea what sims specs are, I would have thought 500 euro would get a laptop that can play it

The specs are 128MEG vram video ram, pixel shader 2 graphics card, cpu core 2 ,1.8ghz ,intel gma 3 or 4.I,D need a least 2gig main ram anyway.

The sims 3 has a ridiculous spec, you defiantly something with a dedicated gfx card to run it well. The spec you listed is the "minimum" which means it will run, but not well ie. "playable"

    Use "recommended" specs, not minimum.

im selling this which id presume would run the sims 3 maxed as it does nearly every game (sorry for the shameless plug ) little bit over 550 but well worth it
