Hi, not sure Im posting this in right place. Anyone good recommendations for headphones, have gone through a few good ones, end up losing sound in one ear.

I have weird ears and cant use the ones that go into ear so any others would do me. Any brands people would recommend?

Thanks for asking this! it's been on my mind over the last few days so i'd be interested to hear some suggestions too.

I'm thinking that some sort of clip-on type earphone would suit me for running, maybe they'd be what you're after too?

Yeah or ones that go around the back of your head and then clip on. I had sony ones and they expensive enough but only got a year out of them like the ones I had before. Maybe Im getting them wet when running in the rain or something.
Any advise would be great before I buy another pair.

I use the earbud type (Sennheiser CX300) in the Gym, but also use a paperclip to fix the cable to my collar. Works great, sounds great.

Saw a pair of sony active range headphones (mdr-as30g) in hmv on grafton st recently priced at 29.99...used to be higher price. They fit on the ear and the band sits over the ear and around the back of the head. heres a link to the active range http://www.sony.ie/product/hps-active.
With regards to one ear failing, could be a cable fault or sweat. If its the later then I wouldnt shell out too much.

Hi, thanks for that but they are actually the ones I have, they didnt last a year.

Should they not be designed for running hence sweat and maybe rain? :)

Hate forking out loads for headphones and then they dont last long, these ones also wouldnt sit properly, they keep twisting around when you are running, thats probably why they are reduced!

Yeah sennheisers are good, and chances are you ll get a better fit with in ears. If you re willing to consider in ears, the Sony ex range are good for running....one of the earphones cable is longer than the other and wraps around the back of the neck so if they do fall out they re not by your ankles! Sennheiser have a similar pair to the Sony ex range. Both should come in at around the same price as you saw on eBay if you shop around. Bit of a pain you can't try them out for size.
