Haggling with Trailfinders

I am in the process of planning my honeymoon for this december. We should be ready to put down a deposit in the coming days. After all my researching and pricing on the net it is proving hard to beat trailfinders... Does anybody know if the price quoted by trailfinders is open for negotiation? I'm going to chance my arm anyway and see if they have room to maneuver, just curious to know if anybody has had success in haggling with them?

    Thanks,

    K

They now have a shop on Dawson Street in town - may be worth going to.

You've got nothing to lose .... even if you don't get a reduction, you may get something added in for free ie. room upgrade, breakfast, local tour etc. Trailfinders are also located in Marlboro Street, Cork (off Patrick Street)

Put on the charm and best of luck!

Yeah good luck! Although if you're in Annascaul Dublin is a fair trek, wouldn't it be better to go to Cork?

It may be a bit late to be of use to you, but when I booked my tickets for Belfast-London-Tokyo-Sydney-Auckland-Christchurch-Sydney-Bangkok-London last year we went to them on Dawsons street, worked out dates that would be cheapest moving things around. Once we had their best price we said we'd go away and mull it over.

In the mean time we emailed trailfinders UK. For the exact same sets of flights they were able to offer us them cheaper (mainly the euro-sterling exchange rate at the time fell in our favour). Between two of us travelling it was a saving of nearly €500 and we never had any problems dealing with them in the UK. We did most of our calling over skype but they were great to deal with and very friendly and helpfull.

Its always worth a shot if its going to save you some money. Enjoy your trip.

Booked our honeymoon this morning. Managed to get the service charge removed and got a free upgrade on the car hire.

Its always worth chancing your arm.....

Well done! Absolutely, it never hurts to ask, the worst they can say is no and i'm sure they're well used to people being more canny now. How much did it end up saving you?

Some places you are staying might get back to you with a free upgrade cause you are on honeymoon.

Just bring something from your day to prove you got married.

I booked flights to the USA last year with Trailfinders as they had the best prices that I could find anywhere. Then, the agent rang me back after an hour, saying that she had managed to get the same flights for €100 less. Happy days. I'd definitely give them another chance after that.
