Thats fecking gas so that is!!!

I guess the funniest things really are true, huh!? :D:D:pac:

Although to be fair, whilst about 90% of the "promoters" are out there, there are some decent enough ones which unfortunately get tarnished with the same brush as the riff-raff.

I used to put on gigs ages ago and in fairness, all I will say is that its a lot harder and stressful than it seems on paper.

Of course, there's good promoters, bad promoters and then there's a whole other bunch; Cowboys Ted, they're a bunch of Cowboys!

Promoting is hard and unrewarding. Know a fella who did promotion to get some great bands playing some great nights with good rewards for the bands. Most of them showed up with very little or no support. His promotion career was short lived.

I dont think the Irish public like goin to see unsigned bands hence the very small music scene over here. He was under the impression you could put 3 up and coming bands on and people would be dying to see these them. Unfortunately not.

The only big gig nights that are successful are phantoms 1sr friday because of the amount of airplay it gets.
