    Hi folks,
Baring in mind that the iphone has been released in Ireland since friday, i just want to get a general feedback as to which network would be the best for the phone. I'm waiting for the next batch to come in, but am unsure which network to use. I'm a current 3pay customer but currently i'm swinging towards vodafone bill pay for the phone. Although vf is generally dearer, their service nd coverage is better in my area. Based on yer experiences of the iphone on the different networks....could ye advise me in which company to choose...

How many times would you really expect to have to ring Customer Services? O2 were prompt, but very little room to budge. VF have the most disastrous web experience known to man or beast, but will throw minutes and texts at you to apologise. 3 were a mess the other night, but one of the guys in the Waterford Call centre reckons they are bringing all the CS back to Ireland. Upgrade team in Waterford were brilliant to deal with. Coverage from East Cork to Dublin by road, and down to the arse end of West Cork Saturday 3's reception was superb. Even getting 3G on a 3G in Allihies (look it up for the giggle.....)

just wondering if anybody else has any info now, e.g reception wise and plans. want to go bill, lost ipod last night and phone broke today so I'm taking it as a sign that i should get the new iphone..

I had no issues with O2 during my time with them. I've heard nothing good (or bad) about Vodafone and don't know anyone on them. 3, I've heard one good story and more than a few bad. If you're in a city constantly, you'll be fine, otherwise, coverage drops etc. Some people seem to have really good experiences though, so it might be a combination of dodgy provisioning/phones.

    For bill pay: 3 > O2 > Vodafone
    For PAYG: 3 > Vodafone > O2
For coverage (in my experience): O2 > Vodafone > 3
    For customer care: O2 > Vodafone > dog turd > 3

I was looking to switch to o2 billpay form VF today but was told that even if a store gets stock in soon they are only selling iphone 4's to existing o2 customers.
I can't believe there are still stock shortages nearly 3 months after the phone's launch! Does anyone know how soon o2 will stop this policy?
