Hey guys i am looking to buy a grenade launcher for my AK-47 Tactical would i be better off with a short or large launcher? I am obviously replacing the front grip to allow for it. And i wont be using the silencer either.

I have priced the M203(Short) but i am not sure if that fits the AK. Also can anyone recommend a cheap place to buy as their fairly pricey. Cheers

M203's are designed for M16/M4's, not AK's. Apart from looking abominable on an AK, if the RAS version of an M203 could even fit across the tiny rail of that AK, it would be desperately unstable, and most likely result in damage to your grip.
What you need is a GP-30. These are the sole launcher specifically for AK's.

It's not cheap, but then nor are M203's or the subsequent grenades you'll need.
Grenade launchers are a big investment for virtually no useful return.

Cheers for the feedback although i found a great launcher thats compatible with my AK from evike website.

Well i can guarantee that i will get great fun out of it as i am always in a situation when i wished i had one.

For example a group of enemys were advancing up the stairs roughly 6-8 and i was shooting down on them while looking through a small window. All i needed was a grenade shot to wipe them all out.

The Danmu GP30's are cheap, they can require a little tlc to work perfectly though.

I had a look around for one and noticed ATS selling one for €150. But i found a great universal one on an american website for half the price.

I have a tactical AK-47 with the rail underneath and i am dead certain that i could mount any 203 on it with the right rail connection.

If it's a m203 with a ris mount it will bit on the hanguard rail, but it will move the centre of gravity making it very front heavy

yeah your right it will make the front heavy, but i use my stock all the time to it wont be a problem as such.
