    Hi all,

    I have an iPhone 3gs currently on 3.1.2 firmware. Baseband is 05.11.07 and bootloader is 6.4
    I have it jailbroken and unlocked because I'm with meteor.

    Now my question, can i upgrade to 4.0 firmware and jailbreak and unlock it?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

    I've looked through that thread, but still a bit confused! is it as simple as going to that website on my iphone and it'll jailbreak and then unlock it using redsn0w?

    Yep just back up all your stuff on iTunes , it's ultrasn0w to unlock it , the jailbreak adds the ultrasn0w repo on Cydia all you have to do is search ultrasn0w on cydia and install it and you are unlocked

    What way do you update to 4.0.1.? Let itunes do its business or download the firmware and hold shift and click on restore and find your downloaded firmware?

    Succesfully done! Now have an unlocked iphone 3gs with 4.0.1 firmware :)

    not to hijack your thread but Lads I am on 3.13 baseband 05.12.01 (3GS iphone)

    If I upgrade to 4.01 via itunes can I unlock via ultrasnow or does the upgrade change my baseband to an unlockable version?

    I had jailbroken with spirit
