Urinating Frequently

    Hi all,

Firstly, I'd like to say I know users on here can't give medical advice and I'm not looking for any.

    My problem is this:

Over the last couple of days I've being needing to urinate excessively, and by that I mean every 15 minutes. It's also a very small amount of pee produced each time.

I woke up a couple of days ago and seemed to have a slight pain on the right side of the shaft (helmet) of the penis. There's no visable bruising, swelling, marking etc but it has been at me since Thursday or Friday morning. It's not very sore but more uncomfortable than anything. I'd also like to point out it doesn't hurt me when peeing, but the constant need to urinate seems to have appeared at the same time as the very slight pain in my helmet (for want of a better word).

I'll be making an appointment for the Doctor ASAP, but I'm ****ting myself here as I hate anything to do with going to a Doctor and try to avoid it wherever possible.

Has anyone suffered with the same problem and what was the outcome?

    Thanks lads.

Sounds to me like a bladder/kidney infection or chlamydia

Besides making an appointment with the Doctor ASAP the only thing you can try and do is relax OP.

Bladder infection most likely. No need to panic. Drink plenty of cranberry juice if you have it to hand to flush out bacteria.
Go to your doctor on Tuesday if you are still in discomfort.

Simple urine test will probably tell you. More than likely a bladder or kidney infection which is a pain in the ass. Once you get them once they are likely to come back again regularly (I usually get a kidney infection every two years or so)
What it also could be is HPV. You can get it anywhere and is associated with warts. You may actually have a wart that you can't see but may feel. The good thing about HPV is it just wears off. If it is HPV don't be out riding bare back f you know what I mean. Relatively harmless to men but can cause cancer in women.

I had similar symptoms to you a couple of months back. Was put on a 3 day course of antibiotics for a urinary tract infection, which cleared it up. I'm not overly fond of going to the doctor myself, but the sooner you go - the sooner you will get it sorted out.

Believe it or not Aidric, this is actually considered to be medical advice and that's something we don't allow on boards.ie. Just for future reference. Mad I know, but if the Original Poster put off going to the doc until Tuesday, drank cranberry juice all day and then died of some rare infection, all based on your advice then boards.ie could be sued and I'm sure his relatives would want a piece of you too.

OP, I know you aren't looking for medical advice but that's what you are getting. Thread closed.
