Since this is coming any day now, I want to upgrade my Jailbroken 3gs 16gb 3.1.3 New Bootrom iphone to 4.0.1 before Apple release 4.1.0.

My question is, can I upgrade from Itunes without any preparations, I know Ill lose jailbroke apps, not worried about music or contacts. should I remove the apps before I upgrade or is there anything I should do before I upgrade.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

You can just do the upgrade. You might try aptbackup from cydia first, it makes a list of your cydia apps, and restores them for you when you JB again, or you could just start fresh if you want.
