iPhone 4 Screen Defect

I bought an iPhone 4 on launch day but I have since noticed that my screen has a defect.

On white backgrounds it shows a sort of greyish streak in the pixels. I looks like a "join the dots" line.

What do you recommend I should do guys? Vodafone say they have to send it away to their tech team with no replacement iPhone but a normal phone or should I ring Apple direct and ask for a replacement from them?

Anyone else having problems? I also experienced the yellow blob problem aswell...

    Help guys!!!!

call apple care, they'll send you a replacement straight away for a charge and refund the charge when you send your phone by return post.

O2/Voda etc just do this anyway so you are cutting out the middleman. They often mess it up/forget to do something etc too. Deal with apple direct.

I can't remember to be honest, they don't actually charge the card but just reserve the amount I think. They have to do it to be sure you'll actually return the phone.

Either that or you can not take advance replacement and just send yours in and they'll send you one out in return.

Ah I get you. They ringfence the amount on the card. How quick are they?

I got my advance replacement in a couple of days. However that was in the middle of the 3G cycle so there were plenty available, possible there could be iphone 4 shortages but I doubt it. Apple will keep plenty in reserve for just this type of issue..

Hopefully! I know Vodafone have not kept one but I'd say Apple have.
