Enjoyed a great day in the Galtees today, running, not walking. Details here

Cush, Galteebeg, Galteemore and back. Brilliant conditions. Brilliant views. And not too wet underfoot. Lots of walkers out too. Could feel a touch of vertigo coming on near the edge over the corrie lake near the top.

Fair play. I really must try out one of these IMRA races some time soon (probably the wrong end of the season now). Do you have a GPS route of the run by any chance?

On the subject of GPS. Is the Garmin 305 good enough for navigation? If I added the above route to it would it point me in the right direction?

    Thanks!

Just about. You really could do with a map and compass though as your main pointers. I've never used it as a navigation device solely myself. If you loaded that gpx file into your gps it should guide you along my path, which isn't a guarantee that I took the best line at times but its there or thereabouts.
