Do most of ye're weekly club competitions have a 2's club?

Whats the most you've gotten out of it?

I always enter it. The most I've ever won was €46 about 4 weeks ago. I was the only one to get a 2 on the day :pac:

the most I have won is like €16...but I was playing with my father last week...he asked me to go in and pay for him. the pro says, do you want to go into 2's..i says yes..he then asks does my father want 2's...i said know. Dad got a hole in one on the 16th..would have been half the pot = €70..i felt like a lump of shít :D

I was always under the impression that it had to be a two on a par three; when I say impression I mean some member told me so. For instance a two or eagle on a par four doesn't count. I think the logic behind it was the odds to favour the pro who does very well out of this system. Perhaps the format and split varies from club to club (pro to pro).

    A 2 is a 2 regardless if it's a par 3 , 4 or 5 ....

Easy money for guys like you, correct?

I've never had a 2 in a comp (played about 12 comps so far)

In my club if you get a 2 at a par 4, the club applies to the golf insurance company and you get 250 euro to spend in the bar.....the bar only!!!. Problem is, the 250 must be spent on the day, which is kinda difficult to do if you play at 8.00am !!, it would be so much better if you could put the balance not spent on the day on to your card for spending later, the club would still benefit from the income. Has anybody else come across this situation?

Bray Golf Club. the 250 comes from the insurance cmpany, all the club need to do is get the Sec/Manager to sign the card and send it off.

Is this just the certain insurance package they have or whats the story with it? Have never heard of it in my club and am wondering should it be brought up next time someone has a two for a free drink or two!! Lol

I thought the thread was about 2's on par 3s...you enter a 2's club for a nominal fee not an eagle or hole in one club!..... eagles and hole in ones are obviously different.....
