    Skins, perhaps? Hardly Haggis.

Anyway, they can be found in SOME places. Specifically, I have seen them in the O2 Experience store on Grafton Street (but they don't have them there right now) and sometimes the smaller O2 shops.

I usually just order them online though, to be honest. If you want a discount code, PM me. I have a 50% off voucher you can use. ;)

People who want codes: If you go to their contest page (http://www.zagg.com/community/contest.php) you can enter to win an iPad. They will then send you a discount code, from 20%-50%. About half the time I get a 50% code, so give it a go!

Anyone know what the delivery times to Ireland are for Zagg?
I am getting my iphone 4 tomorow as well and was wondering if i should wait for Zagg to send me one or should i try someother alternative ( so i can get it tomorow as well).

Just to let you all know there is this site here
    http://gelaskins.com/store/skins/phones/iPhone_4

Some of their skins are just amazing. Unfortunately they wont offer screen protection (but thats where zagg comes in i guess).

Any one got one yet? Can you confirm if it fixes the reception issue and if it was easy to get it on, i.e. no bubbles etc

    Cheers
    Noel

Well, I had one for the iPod Touch a while back - and it was a near impossible task of applying it correctly.

the edges curled, and there was a couple of bubbles so resorted to pulling it off about a month later.

I find that once you pay enough attention and time to it, you can get it on pretty much perfectly. You just have to be willing to try a few times, take up to 20 minutes per sheet of shield that you apply.

I have to say, I'm not happy with my invisible shield for iPhone 4. I got it onto the phone perfectly, no bubbles. I'm delighted with how clean it looks, although it took ages to get perfectly aligned.

However, there are very visible semi-transparent vertical lines that cover the entire skin. The lines kind of alter the light from the screen like prisms. It's particularly noticeable when you turn the phone to alter viewing angles, as if you were trying to see a holograph. To my eye the skin completely ruin the benefit of the retina screen. It's very noticeable to a couple of people I've shown it to, particularly on white backgrounds.

Even more annoying is the 'rubbery' feel to the skin. When you swipe your finger across it at certain angles, your finger kind of drags and bounces slightly, which in turn causes the screen to react accordingly. It's worst when trying to drag something from top right to bottom left, or vice versa. Vertical and horizontal seems ok. I thought it might be just my dry skin or something, but I've confirmed with 2 other people who have used the skin on my phone that it's definitely the skin.

All of this seems odd to me, after reading such great reviews about Zagg. I wonder have I messed up, or are other people noticing these issues? Next stop is to contact Zagg directly, I'm just curious to get some feedback from others first.

    Cheers. Robbie.

I'm not sure about your finger bouncing, but there is certainly a different feel to the phone once the shield is on it.

As for the vertical lines, those are a know issue, and they will replace for free if you ask them too.

Carphone Warehouse and some o2 stores stock the Zagg for iPhone 3G/S, but none I've been to have the iPhone 4 one yet. €19.99 for the full body 3G/S (not a bad price).

The iPhone 3GS one was great. It does have an orange peel look and feel, but I've never had any issue with it degrading the quality of the display, or affecting swiping/touch motions on the display. Maybe the 4G one is worse in that regard? It was a royal pain to apply, though. Most of that can be attributed to the iPhone 3G/S curves. However even after successfully applying, the corners picked up lint in my pocket in a matter of weeks, meaning that the corner/thin bits all started to peel.

Hopefully the flatter iPhone4 will make that a bit easier to manage!

Yeah, I had the line problem before, When you are removing the shield from the backing you didn't do it in one continuous pull. By stopping midway though you actually put the line into it. Some of them go away with time, but most will stay. Hard luck mate.

No, these are lines built into the skin, they cover the full screen. If I had stopped halfway through (which I'm sure I didn't) then surely there would be just one where I stopped?

Well it turns out this is not my fault, and certianly not my hard luck. It's a problem common with Zagg skins across their whole product range. The problem has become so widespread that Zagg have removed their forum from their site because it was full of complaints about this specific problem.

Zagg came back to me and said I could get a replacement, they just needed my credit card details to charge me for the shipping

I'm sending it back for a full refund (which they said was no problem in fairness) and will be trying out a different screen protector. You live and learn....

Robbie, please don't patronise me, I have fitter over 20 invisible shields. You have to remove the backing in one clean movement in order to eliminate these lines. They do not build prism lines into the skin, think about how stupid that sounds.

If installed correctly, the invisible shield is without a doubt the best cover for the iPhone.

Anyone got a 40 or 50% code? (PM me please!)

    Patronising you? Huh???

Zagg have an issue with these lines that they are fully aware of and they are not advising users that it is our fault for installing them incorrectly. They are offering replacements or refunds.

You could very well be right though, perhaps I didn't install it right. It's a shame it didn't work for me - I had done my research in advance, determined that Zagg is the best option, and installed it as best I could after watching a good few videos of the process, reading all the instructions available etc.

It's great that Zagg offer a replacement for faulty / badly installed skins, I wonder if I should give mine another chance. Although it pains me to pay the postage when it might not be my fault to begin with.

just to add in here, i bought the Zagg for my iPhone 4 and im not too happy either. having the same issues as Robbie1876 - rubber feeling to the screen, not smooth movement anymore, lines etc. worst of all is the corners are peeling on the back cover. i put it on perfectly, took aaaaaaages with it and have no air bubbles but the rigid and sharp design of the phone has made the corners of the Zagg too easy to curl

its only like $3.50, maybe worth a shot at that price?
