In Leixlip , hmm. Up on a hill maybe but down in the village I suspect not. Try the second Argos one but be fully prepared to return it.

If you have a TV3 & TV4 analogue signal (even a poor signal) you should get DTT. Locating the aerial in the attic and running a cable down from it will sometimes give better signal.

I've an outdoor Aerial located in my attic it works perfectly, I've also set-up a few relatives with http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=33215&criteria=TV%20aerial&doy=3m7 or similar with better success than those adjustable antenna type.

I just hooked up a new TV and got the DTT channels before this the TVs i had were only UK ones, what is needed to go from just getting the SD channels to getting HD when it out. is there still the HD test card running as i get dtv air 1-16.

You need a HD capable TV, you will not need any additional antenna or cables. The HD test card is on the channel labelled RTENL 2, if you can view this channel now you should be fine when the HD material is running.

Hey guys, i only just copped on to the fact that i can also get these DTT tests on my iDTV too.

I found an aerial laying around and plugged it into the TV and got the 16 radio and tv channels. Looking foreward to Saorview.

Im using this basic indoor aerial from Argos (total control)
    http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5345595.htm

I have the aerial down behind the TV in the corner of the living room and i still have perfect reception. Im living on the south side of Limerick City , about 10km south of Woodcock Hill trasnmitter.
