M4 delta ring problem

    Hi folks,

I have an M4 and the front hand guard is really hard to take off because the delta ring won't easily push back. I literally have to wedge a screwdriver between the handguard and the delta ring to get the battery out.

Is there anything I can do with the delta ring to make it move easier, cut the spring or something?

    Any advice is much appreciated

i assume you have tried rotating the delta ring slightly, if memorey serves me correctly there is a notch in the side of the ring that can be lined up and pushed back
