Ok, I have another thread regarding which battery would be good to use in the M249 but this is regarding the Motar.

I am looking to upgrade the motar in my M249 to allow for higher grade batterys and a better ROF.

What I want to know is, how do I know what type of motars will fit the M249 and which will not. as there are alot of motars out there.

    Thanks in advance

Any short motor would be fine.

I put a high speed motor, tight bore barrel and a silicon hop in mine. Range & ROF was far better than my AEG.

Only thing, the motor in the box mag had problems keeping up with the high speed, so short bursts only.

thanks mate, can I ask what type of upgrades you got.

I only got the M249 3-4 weeks ago. and at the mo the RPM is only 1000. with a 9.6 1500mAH batt

Looking to get that a lot higher

It was some unbranded high speed motor I picked up. Madbull black and the Guarder clear.

ROF when up 2 about 1250 with a 9.6v in the foregrip :D

I also stuck a loudener on the front

It turned into more of a chainsaw, great buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz sound from it.

Oh, your 9.6v 1500 isn't going to last pissing time. Get onto one of the yankie sites and look for a 9.6v 2300 or 2500 or higher batt

you dont need a rediculas RPM to have an effective suppourt gun, the real minimi only shoots @ 850 RPM on "normal" gas settings.

you just have to learn how to use it to best effect.

I know that, my team are currently going through tactics with me as this is the first m249 in the team, but as I will have this AEG for a long time I'm wanting to upgrade to make sure no issue while using it :)

I am getting new motor, batter, bi-pod, barrel ect
