Wedding reception music Kilkenny

    We are getting married soon in Kilkenny are are looking for ideas for wedding reception music to cover the time between arrival of guests at the hotel and the meal time.

    Any other entertainment ideas are welcome!!

    Hey, Deviner. :)

    My mother plays piano and organ professionally for weddings, and has been doing so for years! If you want piano accompanient I can put you in contact with her, also she knows more people in the business than i! Also the newpark hotel in kilkenny actually covers music in the reception while the guests arrive and wait for the bride to enter, the meal to begin etc... That usually goes on from 3.50pm to 6pm.
    Also it depends on what kind of music you wish for, and what sort of resources the hotel has! I mean, a piano or an open area in the lounge area for a band are obvious bonuses! :) But if you're getting married soon, you should try find something fast, kilkenny is surprisingly busy wedding-wise...
    I know there's a local Bagpipes musician for weddings too, but that's normally an alternative people shy away from!
    Also in my experience, female singers will only take the attention away from the bride, which is certainly not what you want the day of your wedding! Good Luck and enjoy!
