iOmega Director & Streaming Video from Windows 7 PC

    I’m not sure if this is the correct place to post this so my apologies if not.
    I’m having a problem with my iOmega Screenplay Director. I’m trying to stream media on the unit from my PC which is running Windows 7 Ultimate(64 bit) but am having problems doing so.
    I have my folders on the PC shared which are easily accessed from my laptop/PS3. When i open the video menu on the iOmega i see the usual list “My Folders” , “My PC:Shared” and “My PC”. When i access the “My PC: Shared” i can see some (not all) of the videos in my standard shared folders. Then i select the option for “My PC” and it loads into a blank screen with no media/folders showing. I have checked the sharing options on the PC and i’v created multiple profiles to try and solve the problem with no success.
    I was just wondering has anyone successfully streamed media on the Iomega Director from a windows 7 PC

    Ok :
    Wireless streaming across Wifi is useless you have an N 300 router and wont really work for true HD files unless you wire It. The PC also needs to be able to connect to a DNLA enabled divice (that's why the XBox+PS3 can see it)
    Try witching off your firewall, (provided you unplug your internet connection).
    I know that this always gives me issues with their media browsing s.ware.

    Final, try adding it as a network drive (If its the HDD kind) . This will allow the system to see it so might help with your connection issue.
