    This was an animation video. The song was a classical piece full of 80s synths.

    It was a charity single to stop Venice from sinking.

    It was shown alot on "Anything goes".

    Was just reminded of this out of nowhere and I thought I'd bump it rather than start a new thread. I think as a child this video fascinated and freaked me out in equal measure. Something about those faceless robots that is quite disturbing. Even the context of the video was lost on me at the time. I seem to remember thinking the spaceship was "abducting" the city rather than saving it (as I can now tell from looking at it).

    I loved the animation and the music itself but I had no idea as a kid that that was Venice that is plucked into space or that it was all part of some charity project. Pretty cool anyway
