Why do I have to reapply for maintenance grant??

    Im going into my 3rd year in DIT
    I've done 2 years in a PLC course before DIT
    so far that has added up to 4 years of getting grants.
    I never had to reapply before, the past few years I have just had
    to send in my results with a form of basic information back to VEC
    and my grant has then gone through.

    But this year they send me a letter with a link for a form to send them.
    I went to the link and its just the application form for the maintenance grant all over again?? I already did this a few years ago?
    I was already means tested?
    Mine or my parents income hasnt changed, we make the same
    as we did a few years ago??

    Is this a mistake? Or has anyone else experienced this?
    I've emailed and rang them but alas its Saturday so I'll have to wait til Monday to get some answers.

    Getting worried that they think Im not eligible anymore!!:confused:
