Jobs for Chinese language graduates?

    Hi,

I wonder if anyone here knows anything about this. I keep hearing how China has the world’s largest emerging economy and that Chinese is the language to learn, but what kind of jobs are Chinese language graduates actually finding? Are those jobs here or actually in China?
I will be a mature student and while I would love to travel to China while I am a student, I would rather not live there permanently. Also, I’ve just been looking at an on-line jobs site and many of the jobs for Mandarin speakers say ‘native speaker preferred’ and this is putting me off a little too.
Could any Chinese language students share some experiences or give some insight into what careers they hope to enter on graduation?
    Thanks very much

One of the people i went to school with has got a work placement over in China from Dairygold or some sort of dairy company anyway. Think they are paying for him to go to a college over there, money towards accommodation and a bit of paid work.
