    +1 to Clonboo tyres, he may even call out to you to do it, Francis Melia is a 100% splendid dude. Also the folks across from the NCT centre in Dubh Uisce (may well be spelt wrong so apologies if so) I would highly recommend.

    How much for the new tyre (+ tyre size)?

    the cut in the tyre was on the rubber around valve so i assumed they couldn't repair this but they could.

    They deflated the tyre, cut out the valve, replaced it with a new one and the rubber and done.
    10 euro. A bit expensive for the little work needed.

    10 quid sounds like good value to me, especially on a Saturday when the other place was closed!

    Thats the going rate for the work, would you rather they said that it couldn't be fixed and charged you for a new tyre which a lot would do.

    in fairness a tenner isnt at all out of they way for that, hard to please some folk.
