Mite be renting a place with a few mates next year down in Carlow. How would i go about letting the grant 'people' know that i mite be moving there while i'm still at home.

Are you applying for a student grant? Will you be going to college in Carlow.
Your home address is still your home. If you move to carlow to attend the course that you are getting the grant for then they dont need to know that you have moved there. Your grant is based on the distance your home address(on 1st oct previous year) is from the college you are attending.
