Difference between ipod touch 2g 32gb and 3g 32gb

eh help me out here please, i kinda dropped my friends ipod touch 32gb into the river last night (yea long story) anyway, because i rather fancy her, and because i'd have to be a douche not to, i want to replace it, along with the camera and phone (dropped the whole handbag)

now, im not normally an ipod/apple techhead, and ive no idea what the difference between the 2g and 3g 32gb (she doesnt know which one she had)

so far google tells me differences between 2g and 3g being the processor (namely the 8gb model), but little else. does it make a difference between the 32gb specifically?

simple enough first came the ipod touch, then its predecessor the 2g, second generation, followed by 3g, third generation, the latest model, as for the 32gigs, thats the memory size, usually 8 gigs, 16, 32 !! the more gigs, the bigger the ipods storage capacity,

well if you really wanted to impress her and replace her stuff, the new iphone will act as an ipod touch, a decent camera and obviously a phone ! 3 birds with the one stone !

yeah i understand the size obviously, but is there anything the 3rd gen can do that the 2nd gen cant?

im also looking into an iphone 32gs 32gb, but they are pretty expensive, and im a broke student.

feck all difference in what they do, obviously the 3g has more ram, better graphics and faster processor, so if she like to buy apps, alot of them these day demand a bit of horse power, well some games would

there is voice control on the 3g and not on 2g, thats about it !

just sold my 3gs 2 weeks ago on adverts, big demand and big supply at the moment, so i know they are around, and with iphone 4, they might be worth a wee bit less also!

me being the gent i am, took 275 plus p*p expenses etc, good deal

275 was a good deal. i wish i had thrown all her belongings into galway canal 2 weeks ago so, or not at all;)

380 seems the lowest adverts is selling for, so im going down the ebay root it seems.

ok so if i end up buying a 2nd gen, she wont be upset/dissapointed in any way?
