Triton T90i water pressure increase?

    Hi guys,

I'm wondering if anybody with more knowledge than I would know if the Triton T90i shower water pressure can be increased? It seems like a relatively new shower, but the pressure of the water coming out of the shower head is pretty poor. It hasn't suddenly dropped in pressure, I just wonder if it can be opened up and a special valve or something can be adjusted so it has more water pressure.

Lots of thanks for any help given.

You cant change the pressure on this shower I'm afraid. There could be a couple of things wrong. The service valve might not be open properly to the shower, The pipe feeding the shower might be kinked or have a blockage, the filter might be blocked, there might not be enough head of pressure from the tank to the shower or the shower head is blocked with scale. I would try the later first. Get some citric acid from the chemist and steep the head in a basin of water with the acid for a few hours and see what that dose. If that fails you will need to call someone.

You cannot change the pressure of a T90. if the pressure is poor it means the pump is working very hard. Make sure your attic tank has an insulation jacket which improves this.

make sure the valve at the tank that feeds the shower is open fully, once a month ive to steep my shower head in vinegar to clean it cause the water in my area is as hard as phil mitchel....works a treat but make sure you wash all the vinegar out before use :o

dont use malt vinager it stains the shower and I would use a 50/50 water vinager solution but its up to you

How would an insulation jacket improve the pressure ?

The colder the water in the tank in the attic the harder the shower has to work to heat it which actually causes the pump to slow down. ;) if the water is not too cold the pump works faster... This point can be demonstrated by the fact that if you turn the dial to cold on the triton the water is pumped real fast as the heater is not in use therefor not slowing down the pump

so if you lag the tank top and sides the heat rising up from the bottom where you have no lagging or insulation raises the water temp slightly...

Its why triton showers work better in the summer.
