I was driving out of a yard today and i scratched the back door on the gate post, i was lucky only some of the black paint came off the gate and was on the door, but when i removed the black marks, it left a discoloured part on the door, which is a lighter colour and noticeable, and it bugs me, so is there anything i can do at home to remove this?

It's not so much a scratch per se, more like a graze if that makes sense.

    Thanks for the help :)

Try some white spirit or petrol to remove the marks and get some rubbing compound in your local motorfactors to clean the rest of it, you might need some touch up paint too which you should get also at the motorfactors.
