No system update on WD HD

    trying to upgrade my WD HD Box

    it says click on settings > then system update file

    but thats not on my box

    That message and menu option only appear if you have inserted a USB stick with the new firmware on it (give the box time to scan the USB stick first).

    Note you have to have the wdtv.bin and wdtv.ver files in the root folder of the USB stick, not in another folder. Also if the f/w (as shown in wdtv.ver) is the same version as what's already installed then it won't appear either.
