    Hi All,
And sorry for such a lame question. But does anyone know if this box will receive Irish DTT? On the spec for it it says "Record digital TV programmes to disk in an MPEG-2 format. Play them back on your PC screen, or record to CD/DVD" I can not find any information that says it receives MPEG2 or MPEG4.
    Thanks for your help,
    Martin.

Most DVB-T USB tuners will pick up DTT and let you record to your hard disk.

The hardware doesnt really matter as the decoding is done by an MPEG4 software codec such as the one in the free VLC player(x264).

There are loads of threads about USB DVB-T devices on this part of the board. Most can be bought brand new for less than €20.
