Name on passport and name on ticket

    Hi,

I was just looking at some flights I have booked for the US, checked the status of the tickets on US Airways using my confirmation code and I noticed something. For some reason my first name and middle name have been appended into one, e.g.: name of Brian Joseph Cowen looks like 'Firstname: Brianjoseph' and 'Lastname:Cowen'.

I am wondering if this will be a problem since it is not an exact match with the name in passport, I know it's commonsense that they are the same but given how anal some airlines can be?

    What do you think?

    Thanks
    Sconsey

I wouldn't be too worried about it. I've my middle name on my passport but I wouldn't always use it when booking tickets and never had a bother.

Once travelling with US Airways they spelt my name wrong booking over the phone, but they just reissued the ticket at the airport, so don't think it'd be a problem.

Happens all the time. Some older reservation systems tend to scrunch everything apart from the surname together. It won't be just you with this issue. I've come across COWEN BRIANJOSEPHMR style names and much worse before
