I'm in a bit of trouble here, I've accidently clicked save on an excel file I'm working on overwriting what was previously saved. Thing is I was just using it to work something out and then planning to re-save it under a new name but I really need what I've now over written, is there any way to get it back or is it gone. Now I haven't tryed anything in case I mess it up, can any one help me at all.

Might be worth having a look in the following directory. Excel may have created a temporary file of the original document when first opened.

    C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Temp

You could also try right clicking on the file and going to Properties and then the "Previous Versions" tab.

Or hold Ctrl + Z to undo everything you've just done!
