    Hi there,
After years of crap my hubby and I finally had a baby boy last year - thanks to Dr. Phil Boyle in the Galway Clinic. He's just amazing.
I have heard recently on the grapevine that he is moving his clinic to Dublin.
Does anyone know if there is any truth in this?
We are hoping to try for a second baby soon and I'd just like to know if I'll need to be on the road to see him.
I don't want to ring his office and ask directly in case it's all just rumour and they think I'm mad !!
    Thanks.

Just ring his office and enquire about making an appointment sometime in the future, say you're worried about waiting times etc and want to know how far in advance you should think about making an appointment. They might then tell you that if you want an appointment in 6 months (or whatever time scale) that you will be required to attend in Dublin. There are ways of finding these things out without being direct ;)

Well curiosity got the better of me and I finally rang his office.
He has opened a clinic in Dublin but is giving appointments in both Dublin and Galway and travelling between them each week.
    Thankfully!

    Hi Bubbaloo,

I was wondering whether you went to see Dr. Boyle here in Dublin? I have read there is also another doctor taking appointments in Dublin, Dr. Philip O'Dwyer and was wondering whether you would recommend one of them. We are having difficulties in conceiving due to low sperm motility and other docs have told us that our only option is IVF. So, before going down that route, I would like to explore the naprotech, but I am not too sure what to expect from it. I know it's a slow motion process and I have heard about the Craighton method but I am not too sure what it involves.

    Thanks!

    Hi New Home,

I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Boyle and I've also heard great things about Dr. O'Dwyer. However, you mention low sperm motility - as far as I know, Napro can only assist with female issues, so they may not be able to help you. :( You could call and ask for information - I think the Galway office would be the most experienced/helpful in that regard.

    Best of luck.

    Hi bubbaloo,
From our reading Napro is perfect for us as we've had 3 miscarriages and I believe he can help. But as someone who has attended, does he offer appointments either before or after work? Just my job will not be understanding.
I have to say we spoke to him in May as we had planned then attending him, but then found out we were pregnant. He rang us with advise which unfortunately didn't work that time. I was very impressed that he was committed enough to give up time to someone who wasn't even a patient.
    Thanks

Hi Barbiegirl - sorry to hear about what you've been through.
Hopefully Dr B can help - he's really wonderful.
He doesn't offer appointments outside of work hours but you would only need to see him occasionally. To begin charting, you would have to see a "teaching/fertility practitioner" every week or two weeks. They usually work from home and would be very flexible with appointment times.
The napro office will refer you to a practitioner in your area. Once you have 3 months of charting done you would meet Dr B and he would decide on treatment depending on what information your chart provides.
Many people are put off by the 3 month wait to see him - but the charting work that is done is those 3 months is probably the most important thing you will ever do for your fertility. Napro is the only clinic/treatment I have ever experienced where each woman is treated as an individual - and they undertsand that the same treatment will not work for everyone. Your treatment is unique to you and how your body responds.
    Best of luck to you.:)

    Hi bubbaloo,

I have just spoken to a napro practitioner who told me they have seen people conceiving with a sperm count of as low as 100,000!! So, there is hope for us and we are going to the first couple introductory meeting at the end of January to find out more. I am so happy I came across this as the fertility doctor I talked to told me that we had no other hope but ICSI and I could not accept that! The other thing is that I have been on the phone with the practitioner for 30 minutes and she was so helpful and understanding. It's something I haven't come across in the past few months of testing and this gives me hope and strength! I will give it a try and the worst it can happen is that I will have waisted a year and a few hundreds euro but at least I will have explored all my options before surrendering to IVF :)
