LCD Screen Damage

I had my laptop sitting beside a chair, book on the chair. Book fell and hit the top of the laptop. Now when I turn it on theres is a black kind of snake line from near the middle of the screen.
Also, when the laptop moves more lines seem to shake like water. The laptop itself is working fine, but the lines on the screen are a bit annoying. Anyone know is there anything that can be done to get rid of these lines. They're not bad enough to justify a new screen.

    Cheers for any help.

You cracked your lcd panel. Only solution is replacement of it. Oh and it will get worse through normal use.

You need to replace the screen. Same happend me. You can buy the screen for around 120e and fit it yourself or 170e to get a technician to do it. I went for the technician as he had it back to me in a few hous

depending on the nature of the damage it will just take either more or less time. black is not good, that just means you have upset the membrane of liquid crystal: it's going to bleed out into the rest of the panel over time.

You can get a screen from ebay very cheap.
    Fit it yourself...its very easy.
Google your laptop model and you will find many guides on how to do it.
