    Can anyone explain this?

    _______________________
Would you like to avail of EU Roaming rates?

This means your rates will be capped at the EU Regulated rates (calls made 47c, calls received 18c, SMS sent 13c, free to receive SMS)

What happens if you select No? Different charges?

I really don't know, but would love to know why they are giving us the option to opt out of a european regulation. Are they even allowed to do that? I cant imagine that us selecting no would mean they are free to flaunt the regulation and rape us for data charges or something. If so, why would anyone select no? Very odd indeed.

    Hi Guys,

3 offer a thing called ''3 like home'', countries include UK, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, Austria, Hong Kong and Australia (last two only available on contract plans). With 3 like home you get to use your phone while in the above mentioned countries as if you were in Ireland i.e if you were in the UK you can call Ireland using your units instead of being charged roaming rates.

When 3 ask you do you want to avail of EU roaming rates if you say yes you get these rates (calls made 47c, calls received 18c, SMS sent 13c, free to receive SMS) and don't avail of ''3 like home''. If you say no you avail of ''3 like home'' and pay a higher amount when roaming in non ''3 like home'' EU countries i.e calls made 52c, calls received 18c, sms 13c and free to recieve SMS.

    Hope that makes sense.
