Yup, spot on. Even when not zoomed in you can read the text. Bound to be some screen shots posted somewhere..... The resolution is 480x800 or 800x480 depending on the orientation of the phone

The Desire is great for browsing. I've had my Desire for a few months now and I've only once turned on my old net-book in that time. Back in the day I used the net-book for surfing when I'm out and about or when I'm sat in front of the TV cos i couldn't be ar$ed go to my main rig.
The only issue I have with is for some reason I cant login to my Boylesports account using it via wifi or 3G.

For me, mobile browsers are only good for quickly checking something, or if i'm out and about. If i was off to browse boards for 15-20 minutes, i wouldn't use the phone, the laptop would come out...better level of comfort on a bigger screen imo..

I've the Desire and I use Dolphin Browser on it.

Browsing most sites is fine. If the text is a bit small you can resize the screen in half a second and it makes a good effort at making the text fill the screen properly. You can set a browser to identify itself as a mobile browser so it gets mobile optimised sites but I turned that off as looking at the sites normally is good enough for me.

When you rotate the phone to landscape most sites are readable for me. Boards is very readable for me. However if I was typing in to Boards using the phone this post would be about 1 sentence long. The keyboard is fine but I touch type so I prefer the PC.

If you use sites that play video it can be a bit fiddly as normally the screen controls in Flash video come up tiny on the phone screen. Bigger sites like YouTube don't have that problem as the phone recognises them and asks how you want to play the video.
