    Why is it, that when I turn on my xbox it is always 22/11/2005 12:02?

    I think its when the 360 was initially created, guessing you dont connect to live much? It auto updates the time and date

    Iv never used live, so I guess that explains it, cheers.

    Yeah neither the 360 or original Xbox had an internal battery IIRC and hence it resets the time every time you turn it off.

    As said, connecting to live sorts it out! But it can be a pain for save games and the like - there have been one or two games that load incorrect saves if play on Live after playing online. So yeah, I always just plug in the ethernet cable to save the hassle!

    only ever happened to me if i unplugged the box from the socket, but yeah live is the key here
