Just wondering, what is your favourite method of getting rid of unwanted hair? And why?

PS I use waxing as it lasts for long time, but very sore. May be anyone knows anything better?:)

It depends where the hair is!!

I will only get my eyebrows threaded.
I tend to get my legs waxed as it lasts for weeks and I feel very clean after it, however I will shave my legs if I can't stick the grow back.

I am an avid fan of Brazilian waxing too. I wouldn't get anything else done in that area.

Shave my legs cos I can't be arsed waiting for the hair to grow back to a certain length and getting it waxed, plus I find it more painful than getting a Brazilian!Get a Brazilian every 6 weeks. honestly say, once I got it done I always want it done. Hate having too much hair down there now. I tweeze my eyebrows but if I feel rich or wanna shape them again I get them threaded if possible, other than that it's wax.

Why don't you try that electrolysis or whatever it's call if you don't like the pain????

    Waxing all the way!

    Underarms, legs, hollywood.

I got my eyebrows waxed for the second time ever last week (first time was a few years ago and put me off having it done again, until last week) and I'll definitely be having them waxed again.

Yes, this is what I do as well, waxing all over. lasts for about 4 weeks, but I wish I could do something similar, but not as painful

Why not? I think it's much nicer to be waxed down there than to shave every day

I prefer waxing legs and Hollywood, it looks and feels nicer plus the hair is gone for ages. I have sensitive underarms so I like using the Nair cream.

I use hair removal cream. Shaving irritates my skin a lot, except underarms, can handle that. Would prefer to wax, but pretty much can't afford to have it done professionally very often and am too much of a chicken to do it myself tbph!

razor for legs and under arm, and cream for other areas, cant handle letting it grow, would love to try a brazilian but couldnt handle letting it grow long enough to get one.

Home waxing can very sore, much less painful experience when someone else is doing it. I'm sure it's got a lot to do with the anticipation of pain when we're doing the jobby ourselves.

I've stopped using a lot of the home waxing products like veet as they're both painful and not very effective, plus I think the soothing wipes they supply for use after your waxing smell like wee, could be just me that thinks that though.

Iv asked this before and got no reply,
    So il try again :

To everyone who always waxes, you say you do it because it lasts longer, but what about having to have the hairs grow out so much in-between sessions?

Im dying to get a Hollywood but Im terrified of getting ingrown hairs down there:eek: Did anybody have problems with waxing down there??

Hair removal creme, but recently started using an epilator, and though that does hurt I'm liking the results a lot

Personally I don't find waxing too painful.

I always have tears running don my face when I get my eyebrows done (either waxed/plucked/threaded), but never when I have any area of my body waxed. I can't understand why lol.

For me personally, I don't mind waiting & having to let the hair grow a certain length.

    This pretty much!

I once considered waxing my legs when I had some spare cash until my sister informed me that you had to let it grow for a while! Yuck, can't stick it.

Speaking of which, I really need to do my legs... just remembered I wanna wear a dress tomorrow

I know it costs a lot to wax, but I found another option for that. I bought professional waxing equipment in Terrisales, and I wax my mom, and my mom waxes me. Very good for money

Oh, I will answer to this question. I wax all over for 5 years, and I find no problem a all to grow the hair as it is not needed to have it long like 1 santimetr, it should be 2-3 mm. And the thing is that once you start waxing, the hair grows very light and thin. Whereas if you keep shaving, your hair is oppsite, it's hard, thick, black and itching. So after waxing, only in 4 weeks, the hair starts to grow and you nerly don't see it, or feel it. So the lenght is not a problem at all. The more you wax, the better for your hair. Hope this helped

I don't understand what you mean.

I personally only shave under my arms, and my legs - sometimes, if I can't wait to have them waxed.

I don't shave down there, ever. I prefer being waxed, because I feel cleaner, and it lasts a lot longer.

    I get my eyebrows waxed.

I have an epilator for my legs but I am terrified to use it most of the time and end up shaving until the hair is too dark again. I have to say the epilator is brilliant because you can always do it in between too, or just use Veet cream and the softness can be incredible when you use that in between epilating.

Some hairs never grew back the first time after epilating and I notice each time that I have less growing back :) That's awesome. If only I could bring myself to do it more often!

Down there, I usually shave. I keep threatening to go for a wax but I am too lazy tbh

I've never touched my eyebrows. They are very blonde. Should probably get them dyed darker for some definition or whatever but meh.

I shave my underarms and er..bikini etc area. Never do anything to my legs. Very little hair there and it's almost transparent anyway :)

I always shave my underarms and legs, and use home waxing kits for down there.
I think I'll have to start using a mens razors as discussed in another thread :p

I was just wondering what it's like getting a Brazilian done professionally? I don't mind the pain, I'll just feel embarrassed :o

I tried waxing but I have black course hair and when I was waxed there was a second layer of growth. They thought it would take the second go but that didn`t work either - its like I`ve two layers of hair  Anyone else have this problem cause I`d love to wax, heard hair gets thinner?

I was embarrassed the first time I had 'downstairs' waxed, but tbh, they've seen it all before, plenty of times, so any embarrassment quickly wore off.

That said, I've never had a Brazilian done, only a Hollywood.

    Underarm/leg - shave
Downstairs - wax ("American" - basically run of the mill job) and trim
    Eyebrows - tweeze

You get used really. And think that you might never see that person again. It's like giving birth. You feel uncomfortable for few mins, and then you feel fine

Has anyone ever gotten a Californian Wax? It's a decent price to get it done, was just wondering what it was exactly.
