    Hi All
I am to be made redundant shortly when they company I worked for will close. I have agreed to take redundancy and signed necessary papers.I believe they may re open in the future in different premises. The questions I have is:
1)Can I get my job back
    2)Can they hire new staff
    3)Can they legally do this

    Cheers Nipwater

Talk to Nera tomorrow or have a read of their website http://www.employmentrights.ie/en/

I think if your layed off you may be able to get work back when and if things pick up, redundancy is different I think the business is under no obligation to take you back. Could be wrong though.

They can hire you at a later point, yes.

They cannot hire somebody to do your job for 3 months after your redundancy, however. That is the law.
