Sky box wont show irish EPG

my grandparents had sky installed today, however it only displays the uk epg, no rte channels. ie. 101 is bbc1, and it should be rte 1

i tried to remove the viewing card, reinsert, power off mains, did a software download.... to no avail

it persists with the uk epg

what am i doing wrong?

You're not doing anything wrong. Ring Sky and they will sort it for you.

Luckly. I wish mine would show the UK epg

i already rang sky, and they said do a forced update, which didnt fix it

It takes up to 24 hours for Irish epg to appear on a new Sky install-if its not on it by tomorrow afternoon ring Sky back and they'l sort it.
BTW-you shouldn't have taken out the card.

when i had sky installed, i had the rte chans instantly

if you remove your card and 'reboot' the digibox it should go to the UK epg.

Yeah but i cant record the ITV channels or BBC still
