Holiday and Engagement Ring Purchase

    Hi,
    Myself and my girlfriend are currently looking into a holiday in the new year with a view to purchasing an engagement ring abroad. Does anyone have any recommendations on the best places abroad to buy an engagement ring? I'm thinking South Africa or Dubai. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Hi,
    We got engaged last year in dubai and we also bought the engagement ring there,we knew a jewelers there from when my partner lived there so got the ring off them.We found them great to deal with helpful but not pushy and even got to see them fix the stone to the ring in the factory.To top it all off got it valued in dublin for the insurance and it was 4 times the price we paid.Overall a gfreat experience....

    There are dubai jewellers in Galway. Have no idea what prices are like.
