Hi there, I'm looking for some recommendations for a good Architect or Architectural Technician working in Co. Tipperary (via pm). We have a very large site about 6 miles from Thurles in a very rural area. There was planning permission to build a woeful bungalow on it but this lapsed about 10 years ago. It's family owned and now we'd be interested in building 3 houses on it (we're a big family and now all grown up).

I've asked a few friends of mine for recommendations but their reports have been mixed. We need someone who is fairly up to date on eco-builds as well as being au fait with the Co.Council guidelines. Even if you can't recommend anyone, can you give me some tips on what to look for and how to judge whether someone is any good or not? I grew up in a house that was always being extended or demolished and know a crap job when I see one, but I'd like to avoid any mistakes as this will probably be the house we will live in for the rest of our days.

    Thanks for any help!
