Hi guy,

i was looking at buying a camera for myself but dont know where to even start, i have checked out the Finepix S 2500 HD and was wondering your opinions or is there any recommendation on a camera around €300

The best camera in the €300 region is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35.
This is due to be replaced by the new FZ40 soon, so the price of the
FZ35 has dropped a bit.

The Fujifilm HS10 is a good camera, but at €384 (from Argos) it
is a bit above your budget.

€300+ is getting close to the price of an entry level DSLR.
Have you considered that option?

It is a very good camera. I have the 10MP FZ28 which is very
similar. BTW, the FZ35(USA) and FZ38(Europe) are the same camera.
