    check todays journal

    8x4x4 wheaten 50 euro
4x4 barley going for 13-14 euro
    4x4 wheaten 12 euro

thats just from the paper, didnt look through the classifieds yet

guess prices will vary on location and whether it had been delivered or not

4x4 winter barley straw is making €15/bale off the field freely at the minute. By the sounds of things it will be scarce enough this year.

    4*4*8 wheaten e45 delivered
4*4 barley e13 - e14 delivered was told, have the bales but price not 100% fixed yet.
was quoted e14 for 4*4 barley in field, left it there, a bit dear if you put e2 -3 haulage on top.
might try a couple of load of osr straw, think around e5 -7 for 4*4.
anyone ever use osr srtaw, how well dose it bed?

was offered good square bales (small) for 3.20 delivered, this seems ridiculous to me for straw, paid 2.50 last year, what are small bales making?

have 50 4x4 bales delivered to the yard coming on Saturday for €20/bale, thaught it was a bit steep but a friend of mine who hauls a lot of bales from Meath to the West says to take it and he would have a good idea.

€12 - €14 in the field collected, down Wexford way.

If anyone if interested, I have 4x4 barley straw bales available for sale from the field or available later in the shed (Wexford).

13-14 euro collected down our way. I sell a decent bit of it so quite pleased with price increase!!!!! Used OSR straw before- it's a bit rough and not as good for soakage so wouldn't use it for calves but for stronger animals would b ok. Don't think I'd pay that money for it tho unless ur badly stuck.

osr straw is 100% fine for cows/cattle a bit rough for small calves tho but im getting 80% osr straw and 20% barley straw for calving imo the osr straw is even better than barley/wheaten to bed cows as it lasts longer and drains better too ive used it the last 2 years and will be useing it again this year and what makes it even better is the price compared to barley straw.
